Seed Pods

I have been looking at seed pods again.  The last series of Pots is done, they were goddess pots, vaginal openings with female figures anchoring the vessel.  Now the pots are going to begin as seed pods and develop from there, each will be different but like the goddesses will have a unifying characteristic which will be the seeds.  At the same time the seeds will represent harvest, abundance, fruitfulness, the earths bounty.  Seeds will literally sprout and grow before my eyes as the pot comes along, sort of like the work featured in the last blog.

This is like blastoff, leaving the planet stuff.  We are distancing ourselves from the pot, extending outward.  This is my best work to date.  Subjective yes, for aesthetic might prompt one to ask if this is really my best, but yes it is because it moves me as nothing has recently.  It is abundance, began as the fruiting seed pod and then began sprouting until there was growth everywhere, but instead of adhering to the pot, the plants have extended out into space, a delicate situation indeed.
