Hunts Point 10/18 & St John's 10/19

Hi Denise, below are photos of Hunts Point.  The youth made pendants out of ceramic clay last week which they got back this week. They also got their cups back, they came out very well.  This week we made more ceramic objects but this time focusing on Picasso as an artist, the students made "Picasso" vessels which they adorned with faces showing multiple points of perspective all in one two dimensional surface.

The photos below are of my first week at Saint John's
We also did ceramics, the students focusing on identity and "all about me" most deciding to inscribe their names on the works.  Some students have never been exposed to clay before, and understanding this ancient and natural material is very important to me.
