Scrapbook for Longstreet Ln
This sculpture represents childhood memories. Its funny she (on the surface) is a rather sexy mama, but really the worship of the goddess goes back so very far into human history, she is no different, her round hips, breasts, and belly mirror the natural landscape found on this amazing planet. She is that purified, fertile place I found in Suffolk, Virginia at Grams house on long street lane. Bugs, lots of bugs, leaves, pebbles, eggs, seeds, fish, and flowers were all a part of this scrapbook of experience. I have painted these elements on her for she is a tribute to this time in my life. The peaceful countenance of a true muse.
