Pre Columbian Panels

As the mimesis project comes to a close (now six whole panels made just for that assignment), I have begun to stick with the hanging ceramics and made some Guatemala-inspired works which show leaves growing from the ground which also look like Mayan or Aztec structures.  The first image in this blog is a good one, with totems on either side and a central God in the center.  It represents the culture being fertilized by the earth.  I enjoy this plant-sculpture hybrid springing forth.
